Sergii POMIAN is an painter and iconographer, currently based in Mykolaiv, Ukraine. He went an unusual way from a religious painting to contemporary art. His style evolved from the strict canons of iconography in a free and modern form of expression.

The traditional technique of icon painting and restoration allowed Sergii to study on practice the method of the old masters. He uses his background as an icon painter by experimenting with mixed materials, including oil and acrylic on canvas and gesso board.
